In the 80s and 90s, a lot of films gave the horror world candidates for iconic monster characters. Only a handful were deemed by the devout genre fans to be worthy, though. One embraced character, of course, was The Djinn from Wishmaster, played by the inimitable Andrew Divoff. While he’s carved quite a memorable career for himself in a variety of roles (Lost, Air Force One, Graveyard Shift, Alias The Blacklist, Demons 2017), his part as Nathaniel Emerest/The Djinn has stuck in the minds of the hearty horror faithful for twenty-one years, and is a role that will live on forever.
Beyond the “heavies” that he often played on screen, Andrew is quite the opposite in real life. He is a soft spoken, kind and thoughtful gentleman who is happy to have a good conversation with his fans. He is a very popular guest and we are excited for his return this October 12-14 to Rock and Shock!
