Rock and Shock 2018

Back again for our 15th show, Rock and Shock once again invades downtown Worcester, MA on Friday, October 12th through Sunday the 14th. As we’ve become known for, the DCU Center will host New England’s largest and longest running horror convention, where we will showcase some of horror’s finest celebrities as well as vendors, artists, writers, tattoo artists, Q&A panels and much more. Then, one block away at the historic Palladium, Rock and Shock will host three days of concerts for those that like to mix a bit of heavy sound with their horror. But before all that happens, we need to launch the first round of announcements!

For guests, we’re going to start with someone who’s never done the show before, Ted Raimi! From horror (Ash vs Evil Dead, Midnight Meat Train, Army of Darkness, Candyman, Wishmaster, Drag Me To Hell) to other genres (Xena, Spider-Man 1-3, Twin Peaks), Ted has built a long and legendary resume. Speaking of legends, we’re very excited that Bill Moseley will be with us once again! We know him best as Chop Top in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and Otis Driftwood from House of 1,000 Corpses and Devil’s Rejects, and soon he’ll be on our screens again to resurrect Mr. Driftwood for 3 From Hell. Hopefully he’ll have some information to share on that highly anticipated film. We also have Andrew Divoff joining us! The man behind Wishmaster’s iconic Djinn will be here to talk about that role and many others (Graveyard Shift, Air Force One, Lost).

Not to be outdone by the actors, how about some bands! Friday sees the return of Rock and Shock stalwarts, Twiztid! Saturday turns to metal with a huge lineup including Amorphis, Dark Tranquility, Wintersun, Ne Obliviscaris, Omnium Gatherum, Moonspell, Sarah Longfield, Virus of Ideals, Blind Revision, Age of Embers and Seven Spires. On Sunday, the upstairs stage will be invaded by Terror, Harms Way, Backtrack, Year of the Knife and Candy. In addition, the downstairs stage will see Trivium bring their The Sin and the Sentence World Tour to Worcester, and with them will be Avatar and Light the Torch! And despite all of these announcements, we’ve still got more to come! Tickets on sale Friday August 17th at 10am
