Gaylen Ross was with us way back at our first show in 2004, and we are ecstatic to have her back for our fifteenth! Here’s how you know an actor is talented: they are in front of the camera for a total of three films in a four year stretch, and yet every film ranks between genre classic and cinematic gold. She began her career in the late, beloved George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead and took the world of horror by storm with her portrayal of Francine. From there she took hold of the slasher subgenre in the early years with her starring part as Betsy in Madman. For her swan song, she reteamed with Romero for the role of Becky Vickers in the segment Something To Tide You Over from George and Stephen King’s masterpiece anthology, Creepshow. Now that is how to make a name in horror! Since then she has been a documentary filmmaker, directing eleven movies ranging in topics from mail order brides to aspects of World War II and many subjects in between. Gaylen’s talent is multifaceted and we are so excited for you to get to meet her this October at Rock and Shock!
